What’s new…
SUNDAY COFFEE IN THE GERANIUM HOUSE…….
It has been a long time since we reached out to everyone.
And so much has happened in all our lives.
We hope that, in the midst of everything, you have been able to have quiet sunny moments like in the picture below.
Here at Windrose, during these 4 -5 months, we have experienced a spring and summer of truly the most unusual weather we have ever had.
After a nearly perfect winter, we had a freak late frost and rain that took out the Santa Rosa plums and all of our peaches. Then came many cool days with just a few spikes of heat. It’s mid-August now and just two days ago I was sitting in the office, wearing a sweater and a beanie, watching it rain!! Right now, we are in the midst of what is forecast to be a four-day heatwave with temps over 110 degrees!
We keep joking that the farm has been being moved around the globe. We have Irish weather for a week or so and then we’re transported right back to Paso!
So our return to the Farmstand is still up in the air. But we look forward to that time. Because Windrose is not just about this beautiful place, it’s also about sharing what grows on this land.
Thank you again for all your support.
We wish you all well.
